The electric power shovel was an invention that you would think
would not work very well. In reality, these electric shovels
do the job for small areas. The snow machines have no wheels
and have either an ergonomic handle or an adjustable handle to
accommodate different people.
The machines are electric which has its advantages and
disadvantages. For long driveways, an electric power shovel
would not be convenient. The Toro Power Curve or Toro Power
Clear would be a better option. If you only have a
small porch and sidewalk, then a Toro Power Shovel may be perfect
for this application.
The electric snow shovels available are pretty similar.
The technology uses a 7.5-10 amp motor to propel the snow using a
poly v-belt power drive system to displace the snow. The
power shovels are light, usually between 12-20 lbs. The Toro Power
Curve 1800 propels snow at a distance of 20 feet and will clear
snow down to inches!
The Snow Joe 322P and the Toro Snow Shovel are pretty similar.
The Snow Joe has a ergonomic handle to alleviate back strain.
The Power Shovel has an adjustable handle to help the user achieve
the proper form when using this.
The 1800 Power Curve is probably the ideal electric snow thrower
for most homeowners you wish to go electric. It is very well
built and extremely light. It really shoots the snow out to
20 feet. Obviously, it works best when using it to clear the
light fluffy snow. It is small enough to put in your back
seat and take it over to your parents house or friends house if
needed. It will occupy a small area in your garage. The
electric power shovel gets a thumbs up.
